On our website, you do not need an account, and we do not ask visitors for personal information. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and reliable.

In our apps, we work with the content you create, such as recipes, notes, and photos you choose to add, along with your app settings. If you email us, we receive your address and your message. This can include information you consider sensitive, but only if you choose to add it. We use all of this only to provide and improve the app and to respond to you.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the app and the features you ask for, your consent where we request it, and our legitimate interest in keeping our services secure and making them better. You can withdraw consent at any time, and that does not affect anything done beforehand.

Some features use artificial intelligence to process content you submit, for example reading a recipe from a photo or estimating the nutrition in a dish. This can happen on your device, or for some features by sending that content to trusted third-party AI providers only to return a result to you. These features do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not use your content to advertise to you.

We share information only with service providers that help us run our apps and website, such as our hosting provider and the AI providers described above, under agreements that limit them to our instructions. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we have not done so.

Where possible, app content stays on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, so it stays protected.

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it. Content stored on your device or in iCloud stays until you delete it.

Depending on where you live you have privacy rights, and we honor them for everyone who uses our apps: the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to receive a copy, to object to or limit certain uses, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share, so there is nothing to opt out of). If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we will post it here and update the date above.
